Global Studies

The aim of the Key Stage 3 curriculum is to create an awareness of:

 “A young person’s place in the world

 and

 “A sense of place” 

Students follow a ‘carousel’ system of approximately 10 week sessions learning

a variety of topics in Language lessons (French or Spanish) and Geography

lessons and incorporating I.T.

 The Modules covered are: 

• Welcome to My World
• World of Leisure
• Passport to the World
• The Wider World
• Global Studies Toolkit
• Making Connections Survivor
• Information Technology with a Global Dimension

The curriculum begins in this format in Year 7 and is developed in Years 8 and 9.
